1.About the Service
SaudiContractor is an online service, free for users, that lets you send one request for offers from building contractors and engineering offices, for services such as villa shell or turnkey construction, finishing for new builds, annexes and extra floors, residential and commercial buildings, walls, and engineering design and supervision, and then passes the request, with your consent, to independent providers.
We are not a contractor, an engineering office or a contracting agent. We do not carry out building, design or supervision ourselves, set prices or scope, or take any payment from you for building work.
The content published on the Site, including guides and service and city pages, is general information only, not engineering or legal advice. Regulations, requirements and building conditions mentioned are a guide, may change, and must be confirmed with a licensed engineering office and the relevant authorities.
2.Acceptance of these terms
By using the Site, sending a request or registering as a partner through it, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
To send a request you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to contract under the laws in force in the Kingdom.
3.Your obligations
When you use the Site, you agree:
- To provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information, and not to impersonate anyone or send a request in another person’s name without their authority.
- To send requests only for the genuine purpose of obtaining offers for a real need, and not to send fake or duplicate requests or requests for marketing or advertising purposes.
- Not to enter ID numbers, bank account details, passwords or other sensitive data the forms do not ask for.
- Not to attempt unauthorised access to the Site or its systems, disrupt it, collect its content or data by automated means, or use it in breach of the law or public morals.
We may refuse or decline to pass on any request, or restrict access to the Site, where we consider that its use breaches these terms or the law.
4.Requests, offers and third parties
Sending a request is free and does not commit you to accept any offer or contract any service.
We aim to pass your request to suitable providers, but we do not guarantee how many offers you will receive, when, at what price, or that any contractor is available when you want.
Offers, prices, scope and engagement terms come from providers alone, and any agreement is made directly between you and the provider. We recommend a written contract setting out scope, specification, duration, payment schedule, warranties and what happens on delay, change or dispute.
We are not a party to any agreement between you and a provider, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety or regulatory compliance of the work, or for any defect, delay or payment dispute. The provider is answerable for these under your agreement with it and the applicable laws.
5.Partner providers
We aim to pass requests to providers operating lawfully in the Kingdom, and we ask partners to be registered. Each provider is responsible for holding the registrations and licences its business requires, including goods-transport licences where needed, and we recommend checking them yourself before agreeing.
A partner registering through the Site confirms that its details, including its commercial registration, classification and services, are accurate and that it is authorised to represent the business it registers. Registration does not mean automatic acceptance as a partner.
A provider that receives a request must use the user’s data only for that request, contact the user professionally and in the way they preferred, and stop contacting them when asked.
6.Intellectual property
All content on the Site, including text, design, the logo, software and the way they are arranged, is owned by or licensed to SaudiContractor and protected by the intellectual property laws of the Kingdom.
You may view the content and share links to it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, republish, modify or commercially exploit it without our prior written permission.
Names of government bodies, regulations, software and brands mentioned on the Site, if any, are used for identification only; they do not imply a partnership with or endorsement of the Site.
7.Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. We take reasonable care to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is free of errors, complete or suitable for your business’s situation, or that the Site will operate without interruption.
Information on the Site about regulations, permits, soil, climate and building conditions is a guide only and is no substitute for confirming it with a licensed engineering office and the relevant authorities.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Site or reliance on its content, or for any defect or delay in work carried out by a provider.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the laws in force in the Kingdom.
8.Links to other websites
The Site may contain links to websites, accounts or services run by others. We provide these links for convenience only, we do not control their content or privacy practices and we are not responsible for them; your use of them is governed by those parties’ terms.
9.Changes to these terms and the Service
We may change these terms at any time. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. Changes take effect from the date they are published, and your continued use of the Site after publication means you accept the amended terms.
We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service in whole or in part, temporarily or permanently, without any obligation to you.
10.Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The competent courts and judicial authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the use of the Site. Before that, both parties will try to settle the dispute amicably.
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
11.Language
These terms are written in Arabic and English. If there is any difference or conflict between the two texts, the Arabic text prevails.
12.Contact about these terms
For any question about these terms, email us at privacy@saudi-contractor.com. Questions about a project you agreed with a contractor or engineering office should go to them directly.
